Painting Your Path

Called to Coach: Interview with Megan Gaul

Clarissa Castillo-Ramsey Season 3 Episode 44

In this week’s podcast, my guest Megan Gaul and I discussed our personal journeys in discovering and pursuing our passions, emphasizing the importance of authenticity, self-compassion, and mindfulness in career development. We also dove into career transitions, personal growth, and sustainable weight loss, highlighting the need for a holistic approach that addresses emotional and mental health.

I also got into a topic I don’t talk about - my own struggles and challenges with weight. If you’ve ever had this challenge too, this episode is especially for you.

More about Megan: Megan is a health coach from Staten Island. Her mission is to help women achieve and maintain consistent healthy habits, all while staying authentic to themselves. Her realization that this was her mission took shape with her own 100-lb weight loss in 2018, where she discovered the importance of food freedom, emotional management, and self-trust. Initially an educator, Megan realized she was being called to coach others to prioritize their own health, like she had learned to do. But unlike the diet industry at large, she did not want women to make these changes through guilt, fear, or urgency. Instead, she and her clients focus on honesty, small habit-change, celebrating improvements, and most importantly, self-compassion.

On a side note: I’ve scheduled my first 2025 vision board session in San Francisco, CA on January 18th from 11am to 1pm. Details in the show notes!
